Mindanao State University – General Santos City’s overall performance for the recent May 2017 CPA Board Exam is 45.97%, wherein 17 examinees managed to pass the exams, with 17 who did not make it, and 3 with conditional status.
For the first timers, 8 examinees passed and 7 failed with no conditionals, garnering a rating of 53.33%, while for the repeaters, 9 examinees passed, 10 failed, with 3 conditionals, resulting to a rating of 40.91%.
As announced, the national passing rate is 35.14%, wherein only 3,389 out of 9,645 examinees passed the exams.
Headed by the PRC Board of Accountancy Chairman, Mr. Joel L. Tan-Torres and its members, Eliseo A. Aurellado, Gerard B. Sanvictores, Gloria T. Baysa, Concordio S. Quisaot and Samuel B. Padilla, the May 2017 CPA licensure exams are administered on May 14-15 & 21-22, 2017 at PRC testing centers in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi, and the results were officially released online five (5) working days after the last day of board examination.
Moreover, the four-days CPA exams covered topics from financial accounting and reporting, practical accounting, auditing theory, theory of accounts, management advisory services, management services, business law and taxation and regulatory framework for business transactions.
